I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Maine and a Registered Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentialing Board. In addition to my Conscious Art Therapy practice I am also a co-creator of a healing center called Vast Horizons, co-creator of Expressive Wellness Trainings, Workshops & Retreats, a co-creator of Wisdom Journeys, LLC, & co-creator of The Annual Self-Compassion Symposium. I am also a teaching artist, a workshop and retreat facilitator and an adjunct college instructor.
I earned my graduate degree in Clinical Art Therapy at Springfield College. I am currently a student at Wisdom University working toward a PhD in Wisdom Studies. I was a recipient of the Portland Press Herald's Maine's Forty Under 40 Emerging Leaders of Maine Award in 2012 and I am also a Past President of the Maine Mental Health Counselors Association.
My practice encompasses an integrative approach combining creative arts therapies, positive psychology, Jungian psychology, cognitive behavorial therapy, energy psychology, transpersonal & spiritual psychology, mindfulness and meditation as well as various other modalities.
I provide individual and group sessions, workshops, trainings, and retreats that incorporate creative expression and work with imagination, intuition and metaphor. My specialties include self-discovery & personal growth, trauma, grief & loss, adoption related issues, depression, anxiety, and assisting highly sensitive people.
In addition to my work, I am always seeking ways to enhance my own creativity, personal growth, intuition and spiritual development. I derive great joy from spending connected time with my family. Being creative in some form every single day helps me to create balance. I also have a deep interest in consciousness, energy, neuroscience, and quantum physics.
